My approach to teaching is that anybody can learn anything. One of the most important skillsets in my tool bag is a multitude of ways to explain the same concept. With all of us coming from different backgrounds, certain ways of explaining ideas are necessary to make the message click. I’ve had instruction in my life that didn’t resonate with me and when I couldn’t perform, my instructor became frustrated.

I’ve had enough bad teachers in my life to know what impression I never want to leave on a student.

To accommodate diverse students who come from a variety of educational backgrounds, I work to integrate a multitude of pedagogical approaches in my lessons to meet the individualized needs and goals of each student. My priority will always be growth at your own pace. I believe that the best learning happens in a comfortable environment, which is why fostering a safe learning environment is my number one priority.
